How to Use a Dental Tooth Number Chart:

Teeth Numbers Charts: Quadrants

How are teeth numbered?

The dental teeth numbers chart shared in this post is divided into four quadrants: upper right, upper left, lower left, and lower right. The teeth numbering system used in the tooth number chart moves in a clockwise direction starting with tooth number 1 in the upper right quadrant and ending with tooth number 32 in the lower right quadrant.

Again, this tooth numbering system is universal for all adults. If you can understand and memorize a tooth numbering chart, then you can recognize and identify any tooth just by looking inside of your own or another person’s mouth.

Teeth Numbers and Names

Teeth Numbers and Names: The tooth numbers chart includes the numbers and corresponding names of every tooth.

By looking at a tooth chart with numbers and names, you will see that the mouth can be divided vertically into two symmetrical halves where corresponding teeth are named the same.
